John Burnett
Head of Marketing Research and Scholar recruitment for Scenario d. Dr. John Burnett is a professor of marketing in the Daniels College of Business, University of Denver . He is also the Director of the DU Marketing Roundtable. Prior to the University of Denver , Professor Burnett taught at Texas A&M University , Texas Tech University, University of Kentucky , and James Madison College . He has authored or co-authored over 70 academic and trade articles and 15 textbooks and trade books, including “Introduction to Marketing Communication” (2000), “Managing Business Crisis” (2002) and “Principles of Advertising” that has been through seven editions and is the most widely-used advertising textbook in the U.S. His articles have appeared in journals, such as Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Advertising Research, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Advertising, Journal of Healthcare Marketing, Journal of Service Marketing, Journal of Travel Research and Public Relations Review.
Dr. Burnett has consulted to many Fortune 500 companies and has served as an expert witness in 17 cases since 1993.
His expertise is in the area of marketing communication, with a focus on advertising. He also has a keen interest in non-profit marketing.
