Lauri Harrison
Head of Marketing Communications for Scenario d. She spent almost seven years working for USWEST in Strategic Marketing then transitioned to the New Product Development group and was responsible for product marketing for DexOnline.com (formerly QwestDex.com) in 1994. She also helped launch MapQuest (then called "WebMapper") in February 1996, and by executing unique marketing and public relations strategies, MapQuest quickly became one of the top 25 brands on the Internet, a position that it still holds today. In 1997, MapQuest was selected to attend President Clinton's Inauguration Celebration and Ms. Harrison was selected as one of two individuals to represent the company in Washington DC .
In February 2000, she launched her own marketing, public relations and event
planning firm (formerly LH3, Inc.) to plan and execute company and product launches. Her firm became an award-winning agency with innovative product launches, and special event promotions, receiving two "Gold Pick Awards" from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). “ In 2005. Lauri received the Denver Business Journal's "Forty Under 40" Award, which recognizes business leadership, professional accomplishments and community involvement.”
Ms. Harrison is a member of the Board of Directors for The American Marketing Association (AMA) for 2001-2002 and 2004-2005, Rocky Mountain Women in Technology (Rocky WIT), Colorado Women in Technology (CWIT), Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and Colorado Internet Keiretsu (CIK) as well as being an active member of her community. She has guest lectured at CU Denver, CU Boulder, CSU, UNC, Metro State College and Denver University .
Lauri received a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from the University of Hawaii and a Master's degree in Marketing from the University of Colorado .
